simple navigation for touring submarine rides
Haze
FAQs
What does Haze do
Haze is a simple navigation aid, designed to quickly and cleanly show your route progress. Born out of the constant unknown when touring - where are we and when are we stopping - it’s a simple way to see on your lock screen and standby how you’re getting on and, if you should get out of your bunk.
You can also set a native iOS alarm from Haze to go off when you reach a radius around your destination. Alarms can also have a “not before” time where even if you reach your destination before the a set time the alarm is delayed until then, thus longer beauty sleep for when the bus arrives at 6am
What’s next?
Big plans around preventing being oil-spotted. Grand ideas, little spare time…
Can’t I just use Maps?
Yea, sure you can. But I wanted something cleaner and simpler than turn-by-turn navigation, and thought I could whip something up in a few days (ha) so, here we are.
Anything I should know?
Best to use it while charging, Live Activities in iOS can be a bit of a battery drain.
Have your ringer volume up - otherwise you might not hear the alarm.
Always set a backup - just in case! Haze is not responsible if you miss your call time…
Price? Ads? Data collection?
Haze is will launch in September on iOS26+ for free (limited offer), with no ads and no identifiable data collection (meaning we collect anonymous analytic and crash data and nothing else!).
